The weight limit has increased to almost thrice the amount he would physically be able to carry. He still enjoys skipping rocks. Anything more than twice the amount he's able to carry results in a 10 minute cooldown before he can lift anything above exactly what he can physically carry or lighter.

[Active] Rock Throw - He can break off larger chunks of rock and dirt/sand to the size of bowling balls and throw them with his mind at a maximum of 1.5x the speed he'd be physically capable of. The weight limit has increased to almost twice the amount he would physically be able to carry. Of course, he still enjoys skipping rocks so he still does that. 

[Active] Pebble Pelting – He can break off small chunks of rock or dirt/sand from the size of a marble to the size of his fist and throw them with his mind at a maximum of twice the speed he’d be physically capable of. The weight limit is roughly the amount he would physically be able to carry. Of course, throwing rocks with the mind is fatiguing so mostly he can use this to throw pebbles at people who annoy him, or throw sand into the eyes of his enemies. Or maybe skip rocks on water, he enjoys that.

        [Passive] Hunter’s Stamina – He is resilient and if need be can track steadily for days when he’s on a hunt. He doesn’t get tired easily, but it doesn’t mean he’s got better defense or durability.

⚜ Personality: Malcolm likes peace and quiet. He’s often mistaken for being stoic but really he’s a rather equanimous man. Skilled in hiding his thoughts and feelings, Malcolm is even-tempered but even he has his buttons. If he perceives that someone’s crossed a line he’s quick to go from polite to quietly aggressive. Deeply protective and loving of people he cares about, he’s slow to forgive if someone has broken his trust. He has his silly side and has a wholesome sense of humor. Blessed are those that can make this man laugh, much less smile.

⚜ Story: At dawn, Malcolm woke up in the grasslands near Elledolias next to Meredy nearly five years since the news of humans arriving first occurred. He was nudged awake by Meredy. Disoriented and a bit distracted from waking up next to a young woman, he attempted to say “Are you okay?” and “You are pretty” at the same time and ended up with “Are you pretty?”

Embarrassed, he quickly helped her up and upon seeing her dress had lost a few buttons, gave her his jacket. On the trail to the village, the sole of one of Malcolm’s shoes fell off, so he walked barefoot the rest of the way. They crossed the grasslands and a small portion of forest before coming upon the village of Elledolias.

Event 1: Upon entering the village, they’re quickly pointed to Gale Orland, who fills them in on the world in which they have appeared. Thanks to Gale they meet one of the villagers, Agatha Grandmire. She was an old widower who owned a greenhouse on the fringes of the village.

She offered Malcolm and Meredy spare bedrooms in her home in exchange for their helping her around the house and her garden. After a few days of adjusting to their new home, getting new clothes and (with Agatha’s help) discovering their respective elements, Malcolm and Meredy decided to learn more and register for jobs so they could contribute to the village.

Malcolm felt a pull to the Hunter’s jobs. A gut feeling was all he had to go on. He registered as a Gunner. With Agatha’s generosity, he was able to buy a job-outfit and his current gun and knife. To return her kindness, he agreed that his free days would be spent tending to the plants in her greenhouse, which was something that not only gave him a measure of peace in the face of amnesia but also something he turned out to be good at.

⚜ Earth History: Malcolm is the only son of Isabeau and Mason Rose. Both his parents died in a tragic car accident when he was ten so he went to live with his Grandfather, also named Malcolm Rose, and his Grandmother, Marie. With them, he learnt how to camp, hunt and shoot from his grandfather and from his grandmother he learnt pottery and drawing, a love of literature, and a rather skilled green thumb. 

He was a good student, if quiet and serious and had few close friends in his life near the mountains and forests of the American northwest. 

It was as a young adult working as a Ranger for the local park service that he met Meredy through her brother and his friend Merick Iver. The first time he saw her was when she was performing music at a local restaurant. He embarrassed himself by awkwardly stumbling over his words then too. Still, something about him attracted Meredy as well and they became friends quickly and started dating soon after. 

A few years later, he built the courage to ask her to marry him after showing her his sketchbook where he had designed their would-be engagement rings. The rings were made with her approval and he was given another opportunity to formally ask her to marry him during a surprise house party at her home that he arranged to have all of their family and friends there to witness and celebrate. 

It was shortly after this that both he and Meredy were pulled into Aesthia against their will. 

⚜ Relations:

+Meredy: He wakes up next to her when he first arrives in Aethis. He thinks she’s pretty and has a curiosity about the ring she has that somewhat matches the one he woke up with. But until he gets to know her again, he asked her if they could at least start as friends, what with the amnesia and all. Chapter 4 confirms the rings were engagement rings. EDIT: His full memory returned, he now knows Meredy is his beloved fiance and he's more motivated than ever to return home. 

⚜ Miscellaneous:

                +He’s got a large tattoo on his back, one that he designed himself with Meredy's help.

                +Every time he looks into mirrors he ends up trying to remember his past and this just causes a low key anxiety so he avoids looking at his reflection as much as he can. EDIT: No longer the case now that he has his memories back. 

                +He woke up wearing an ornate black gunmetal ring with silver rose designs and a partially worn down engraving on the inside of it. He still wears it on his left ring finger because it feels right there. When he's anxious he twists it around his finger. EDIT: He now remembers it's his engagement ring that he designed and created for a matching set with Meredy.
